They are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Civil Technician to join their dynamic team based in Norwich. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, analysing, and overseeing the construction of various structures, ensuring they are safe, sustainable, and built to the highest standards. This role requires a strong foundation in engineering principles, as well as proficiency in relevant software tools. Responsibilities - Supporting the planning, design, and implementation of infrastructure projects - Site Surveys: Conducting site surveys and collecting relevant data to assist in project planning - Drafting and Reviewing: Creating and reviewing technical drawings and blueprints using CAD software - Cost Estimation: Assisting in the preparation of project cost estimates - Project Monitoring: Monitoring project progress and maintaining project documentation - Compliance: Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations - Quality Control: Performing quality control and quality assurance inspections - Reporting: Preparing and presenting reports to stakeholders - Technical Support: Providing technical support to engineers, including structural, civil, and water resource engineers - Field Audits: Conducting field audits of existing facilities and infrastructure Experience - Degree in civil engineering technology or a related field - Hands-on experience in the field is highly valued - Ability to create and modify technical drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software - Strong grasp of civil engineering concepts and practices - Excellent problem-solving abilities to address design and construction issues - High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards - Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with engineers, architects, and contractors - Ability to work well in a team environment and coordinate with various stakeholders - Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously If you are passionate about engineering and eager to contribute to innovative projects that shape our built environment, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity as a Civil Technician.
