Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to oversee the daily management of a busy conservatories, windows and doors company in Bletchley, Milton Keynes. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a proven track record in their field. Windows and Doors experience is an advantage, but we will also consider those with a strong business management background.
Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage a diverse team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among all members.
2. Monitor and oversee daily business sales figures and performance, with assistance from the finance manager, producing reports when required.
3. Assume day-to-day responsibility for the business operation, overseeing all issues arising from various departments.
4. Performance management of staff and light HR duties.
5. Monitor, reduce, and resolve errors throughout the company.
6. Manage all company insurances, H&S obligations, and legal compliance.
7. Implement, cascade, and ensure staff compliance with company policies, procedures, and processes. Responsible for continuous improvement within the business.
8. Learn and understand changing regulations in relation to windows and conservatories.
9. Continue the current rollout of new CRM systems, ensuring staff are monitored and supported.
10. Address customer feedback promptly and effectively to enhance customer satisfaction.
11. Collaborate with Directors to develop strategic plans for growth and improvement.
Skills and Experience
1. Initiative, initiative, initiative.
2. Proficient in all Microsoft packages.
3. Experience with Sage would be an advantage.
4. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
5. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a keen attention to detail.
