We have a fabulous job opportunity for you to join our awesome team as a Cook, where you’ll be responsible for the kitchen duties. You’ll be ordering all the food, menu planning and ensuring all health & safety regulations are in place.
As our Cook, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that all stock is recorded when received and expenditure records are maintained. You’ll plan and prepare all meals catering to our diverse customer group to ensure all meals suit a variety of dietary needs and cultures.
Typical day as a Cook
* Overseeing the management of the kitchen as directed by the service manager.
* Providing a fresh offering of food for our extra care scheme (older people).
* Responsible for ordering supplies and maintaining adequate stocks of food.
* Responsibility for the overall cleanliness of the kitchen, pantries, etc.
* Maintain stock sheets and do stock checks as required.

You bring
* Previous experience in catering.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills, ability to keep calm under pressure.
* An understanding of the principles of confidentiality.
* Flexibility and ability to relate to vulnerable people with sensitivity.

You’ll join our Senior Client Services Manager Sarah Hill and our Client Services Manager Jessica Holman and our Homeside team; we’re super passionate about what we do! We’re proud of the fantastic quality of food we offer to customers and recent improvements we have made to our catering services. We’re a supportive bunch and like to have regular catch-ups (Don't worry, there is always coffee, tea, and biscuits!)
Job details
* 20 hours, x 2 shifts per week 8.00am until 18:30pm on a 4-weekly rota pattern.
* Able to use technology and be confident in kitchen documentation.
* You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done, and we pay for that.
