We create world-class exhibitions and live events for clients all over the world. We typically deliver 200+ events per year across 6 continents.
Most of our team are based in Bristol and North Devon. We also have offices in London and Singapore.
We work with a range of B2B clients across most industry sectors, from leading brands through to Government departments, and our events include anything and everything, from conferences and exhibitions, through to product launches, brand activations and roadshows.
About the role:
We’re looking for a Commercial Assistant to support our team to ensure our event financials are smooth running and commercially sound. The key purpose of the role is to support the Commercial Analyst and the wider events team to ensure our in-house financial system accurately reflects all project costs and revenues. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your financial career within an award-winning events agency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supporting the Events Delivery team, ensuring all project costs are accounted for on our in-house system.
• Monitoring the progression of the Osaka Expo 2025 events, tracking spend against budget and managing associated financial reporting.
• Assisting the Commercial Analyst in providing regular financial forecasts, ensuring that monthly billing is completed, supplier purchase orders are managed, and cash is collected in line with the agreed terms.
• Maintaining Osaka Expo 2025 project-related records, including contracts amends and change orders.
• Reviewing supplier invoices/purchase orders with Event Directors for approval.
• Monitoring associated Osaka travel expenses and costs ensuring that they are within the agreed limits and are fully supported by receipts.
• Analysing time spent on Events to ensure that it is in line with the agreed event budgets.
• Investigating project variances and submitting variance reports to the Event Directors and the Commercial team.
• Investigating and resolving any financial discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Ad hoc reporting and evaluation as requested.
About the person:
You will have experience in finance or roles requiring financial accountability, paired with expertise in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel, Word and Outlook). Your ability to handle data, maintain accuracy under tight deadlines, and communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders will be key. Strong organizational and analytical skills, coupled with a problem-solving mindset, will ensure your success in this role.
