Pay Rate: £25.70 per hour
About the role:
To work as part of a team of early help Family Practitioners to deliver interventions as part of a wider skills mix multi-agency system, in order to provide intense support to families with multiple and complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* To operate as a Family Practitioner in alignment with family support standards set by the education service, the practice guide, and the Multi-Agency Team protocol.
* To foster a safe and protective environment for children, ensuring strict adherence to safeguarding procedures.
* To offer tailored, structured support to children and families, utilising relevant assessment tools such as Hackney’s Early Help referral form to establish an individualised plan with clearly defined outcomes, goals, and review timelines.
* To serve as the lead professional for specific families, coordinating and sharing information to support a collaborative approach around the child.
* To assist parents and carers in caring for their child through targeted in-home work, group sessions, and coordinated services and activities, and to provide support in overcoming barriers like housing and financial issues that impact parenting.
* To organise and facilitate parenting groups, helping parents and carers better understand their child’s needs and enhance their parenting abilities.
Applicant Requirements:
* Minimum Level 3 qualification in childcare & education or primary education or work with parents or health or social work.
* Significant experience working with children and families.
* Experience in providing parenting support, and delivering parenting programmes, groups or forums to vulnerable families with complex needs.
* Willingness to work shift patterns between the hours of 7.30 am and 7.00 pm in the home and evenings and weekends as required.
