Are you a Chartered Transport Planner who is looking for a new role? This opportunity is a great chance to develop the Transport Planning team in Manchester and work on a range of exciting projects in the Northwest. \n\nThis position would involve building relationships with internal and external Clients to secure work, including working closely with the Associate Transport Planner to develop the transport planning team.\n\nWhat’s on offer:\n\nSMART Pension \n\t\nEmployee Profit Share Scheme \n\t\nLife Insurance \n\t\nEmployee Assistance Programme (EAP) \n\t\nLong Service Awards \n\t\nCritical Illness Cover \n\t\nBuying Additional Holidays (December and June windows) \n\t\nSMART Cycle to Work \n\t\nGym and Retail Discounts\n\nThe role:\n\nUndertaking and development of Site Access Appraisals\n\t\nUndertaking of Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, Design and Access Statements, Transport input into Environmental Assessments and Travel Plans\n\t\nDevelopment of concept designs for highways schemes for access and junction improvements\n\t\nDevelopment and mentoring of junior team members\n\t\nDevelopment of client relationships\n\t\nProducing fee proposals\n\t\nAssisting associates in seeking out and securing new opportunities\n\t\nResourcing and financial monitoring and reporting\n\t\nDeveloping good relationships with professions across the company\n\nWhat you need to succeed:\n\nYou will have proven experience working in a Transport Planning consultancy and be comfortable presenting ideas and project work to Clients\n\t\nYou will be a Chartered Transport Planning Professional or Chartered Engineer certified by the Engineering Council\n\t\nYou will have strong practical knowledge of Linsig, Junctions 9 and preferably experience of using TRACC/similar\n\t\nYou will have a strong understanding of relevant local and national policy and guidance.\n\t\nOrganised and methodical with particular attention to detail\n\t\nThe ability to prioritise tasks and work to tight deadlines under pressure\n\t\nHave a pragmatic approach and possess strong problem-solving techniques\n\t\nStrong interpersonal skills, able to build relationships at all levels with clients and employees alike and across all professional disciplines\n\t\nAble to manage Client expectations
