The Wave, Bristol, are recruiting a Surf Operations Team Leader. As our Surf Operations Team Leader, you will assist in the day to day running of the Surf Ops department which includes; lake experiences, safety and our customer surf journey. Reporting to the Assistant Surf Operations Manager, you will achieve this by ensuring the day-to-day operations run smoothly through people management and knowing what the department needs at different times. You will be confident in upholding standards, expectations and rules of the department. Our Surf Operations Team Leader: Plan and lead the shift so that everyone is performing at their best throughout the day to enhance our visitor experience. Be the first point of contact for escalated customer feedback and ensure any disputes or adverse comments are resolved. Have in-depth knowledge of our sessions, experiences and wave settings, to be able to assist visitors with their enquiries. Recruitment of your department. Sifting CVs and helping on recruitment days, conducting interviews and supporting training shifts. Work with the Senior team to train level 1 & 2 Wavemakers in-line with their training checklist. Ensure your team is always adhering to high levels of lake safety SOPs. Comply with legal and company health and safety standards, and ensure you are following all risk assessments. Work with the Surf Ops managers to adapt the department’s resourcing and offerings to stay in-line with targets and KPI’s. They will have a strong attention to detail, especially with regards to Health & Safety and site standards.
