We are working with a global financial institution to recruit a Business Analyst for their Optimisation and Enablement Team. In this role, you will leverage your skills in process re-engineering, change management, business and data analysis to drive strategic work efforts across Data & Regulatory Operations. As part of the Operations Division within the Chief Operating Office, you will partner with operations functions to define strategy, manage program execution, and develop innovative solutions. Your role will involve sophisticated analyses, risk assessment, process improvement, and strategic technology solutions, while ensuring compliance and ethical conduct.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide in-depth and sophisticated analyses with interpretive thinking to define problems, develop innovative solutions, and influence strategic functional decisions.
Assess risk when business decisions are made, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, and safeguarding the firm's reputation.
Manage work streams across geographies for Data & Regulatory Operations, focusing on process improvement, strategic technology solutions, automation, and change management.
Identify data patterns and trends, providing insights to enhance business decision-making capability in business planning, process improvement, solution assessment, etc.
Continuously improve processes and strategies by exploring and evaluating new data sources, tools, and capabilities.
Essential Criteria:
At least 7 years' experience in a Business Analyst role.
Extensive experience in business analysis roles, specifically within the data domain.
Ability to engage with multiple stakeholders across business, operations, technology, and compliance, including those at senior levels.
Proven track record in evaluating process performance across key metrics and envisioning ways to reengineer processes for significant improvement.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) with extensive experience using Excel for data analysis.
This role will be a hybrid role with 3 days in the office in Belfast. Although the role is initially for a 12-month period there is a high possibility of extension.
