In this role, youll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships. A Typical Day in the Job: Managing Smoothwall filters and performing password resets to ensure secure and efficient access for users. Creating and implementing group policies to streamline user management and system configurations. Safeguarding students by monitoring and enforcing e-safety protocols. Updating classroom software to support effective teaching and learning. Interpreting security policies, technical specifications, and network diagrams to maintain system integrity. Tracking Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and escalating issues as necessary. Maintaining an audit trail through email logs and the Aris ticketing system. Providing support via face-to-face interactions, phone, email, and Microsoft Teams. Utilizing tools such as Command Prompt, Ping, and Angry IP Scanner to troubleshoot network issues. Engaging with our comprehensive IT Service Management (ITSM) Helpdesk System to address and resolve technical problems. Gaining exposure to firewalls, switches, and routers, and updating hardware components like CPUs, RAM, and GPUs. Installing and configuring software, adding user accounts, and managing access permissions. Working with platforms including Office 365, Windows, Google Classroom, and Azure. Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
