Job Description
SDUK's brands include the Nations favourite cheese brand Cathedral City plus other well-known butter & spreads (Clover, Country Life, Vitalite, Utterly Butterly, Wensleydale, and Sheese), functional ingredients and dairy free products.
This role is key for the ongoing support of assets at our large-scale water processing facility (WPF) near to our flagship production plant just outside of Davidstow. Youll be working across planned maintenance schedules and offering detailed technical guidance for the planning and completion of activities.
This is a hands-on role where you will be working autonomously when required, but also as part of the wider team, with broad responsibilities to help identify and drive fault finding activities towards resolving and preventing issues.

YOULL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER BY
* Completing day-to-day planned preventative maintenance schedules to support the delivery of the site maintenance strategy, ensuring reliable operation of the plant.
* Driving a quality culture through the adherence to first class engineering techniques.
* Providing detailed technical guidance for the planning and completion of maintenance activities on water processing stages.
* Supporting and developing continuous improvement activities such recording and utilising data to drive root cause analysis within the department to identify improvement opportunities and drive actions to completion.
* Identifying, sourcing and ensuring availability of maintenance spares, liaising closely with the stores team.
YOURE BEST SUITED FOR THE ROLE IF YOU ARE
* An experienced and qualified engineer through an apprenticeship, NVQ, or HNC.
* Experienced working within a large-scale water processing environment, with hands-on experience with pumps, motors, filters, valves, gauges etc.
* Someone who enjoys a hands-on approach to engineering, working in/outdoors.
* Able to work in a team, supporting others with their workload and development when required.
* Comfortable working with different computer systems.
* Experienced completing risk assessments.
* Able to demonstrate an understanding of lean methodologies.
