Role Overview:
This is a great opportunity for someone at the start of their career who wants to get stuck in, grow fast, and create work that actually gets seen. We’re looking for an enthusiastic and creative Content & Social Media Executive to join the Sylo Media team. This entry-level role is ideal for someone who lives and breathes social media, has a flair for video and visual content, and is excited about the idea of being both behind and in front of the camera.
You’ll play a hands-on role in bringing content to life for our clients and the agency itself – whether that’s filming TikToks, capturing behind-the-scenes moments, jumping on trends, or showing off our team culture. You’ll work closely with an Account Manager to plan, create, and analyse content across a range of platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create engaging, on-brand social media content (video, imagery, and copy) for clients and Sylo Media’s own channels.
* Film and edit short-form video content using tools like CapCut (or other apps you’re familiar with).
* Contribute to content calendars and campaign ideas, supported by the Account Manager.
* Be plugged into online trends, new platform features, and brand moments worth shouting about.
* Research and present new content ideas, platform opportunities, and creative trends.
* Track content performance and report on what’s working to inform future strategies.
* Contribute to shaping Sylo Media’s online presence by showcasing team culture, behind-the-scenes, and agency expertise.
* Be comfortable representing the agency on camera across video and story-based content.
Skills and Experience Required
Required Experience:
* A strong interest in content creation and social media, with examples to show (this could be personal, freelance, or coursework-related).
* Familiarity with creating and editing short-form video content – CapCut experience is a bonus but not essential.
* Confident navigating TikTok, IG, FB and other platforms – you know what works and why.
* A creative mindset and willingness to experiment, learn and grow.
* Comfortable both behind and in front of the camera.
* A collaborative attitude and eagerness to work as part of a close-knit team.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Bonus (but not required):
* Graphic design basics (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express, Adobe Photoshop or similar).
* Photography or video production experience.
