Job Description The EHS Officer will be responsible for driving Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) performance within the facility to help achieve best-in-class standards in environmental stewardship, health, and safety. You will work closely with operational teams to implement preventative measures, ensure regulatory compliance, and improve overall EHS practices. Spending a significant amount of your time on the workplace floor, you will actively engage with employees to promote a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible working environment, fostering a culture of continuous EHS improvement. Working Hours: Monday - Friday, onsite. Job Purpose: Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to engage the workforce in EHS practices and initiatives. Perform regular internal audits and inspections to monitor and ensure compliance with all EHS policies, including health, safety, and environmental regulations. Support, coach, and influence all staff to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility. Review high-risk jobs and assess environmental impact to develop safer and more sustainable systems of work. Develop and implement safe systems of work and environmentally-friendly practices. Design, deliver, and evaluate EHS training programs for staff at all levels. Work with internal stakeholders to nurture best practices in operational safety and environmental management as core values. Serve as the trusted point of contact for all EHS-related issues within the facility.
