We’re recruiting for an Energy Data and Carbon Analyst who will support Morrisons with tracking energy reduction activity, delivering our group carbon footprint for our own operations and ensuring data quality across the estate, including supermarket, convenience, logistics and manufacturing sites.
In this role you’ll make a real difference, providing robust savings validation, project management of data led projects, identifying new ways to save energy through root cause analysis and report accurately to ensure SECR and other carbon compliance.
Supporting the teams consumption reduction challenge through site specific opportunities and recovery, whilst informing the data and base for Morrisons Net Zero Roadmap.
This opportunity may be suitable for someone who has worked with carbon or energy data previously and can operate Energy Management systems for complex multisite portfolios.
Experience of working with the water industry and submetering is helpful too!
Some of your responsibilities will include:
* Ensure compliance with carbon and energy legislation and voluntary schemes to maintain the good reputation of the company
* Deliver the Group Carbon Footprint
* Provide validation of new project to improve returns and ensure business case delivery
* Deliver accurate and informed analysis to support decision making and insight
* Contribute to meeting the department’s annual budget to ensure expenditure is in line with known agreements and plans
* Oversee data led projects such a new systems, dashboards, reporting or meter exchange programmes
This position follows a hybrid model with a 4.5 day working week*.
Our teams work from our vibrant head office in Bradford for three days and remotely for a day and a half, Monday to Friday.

* Qualifications in energy management, project management and analysis desirable
* Specialist knowledge of the energy industry - including contract management, legislation, energy efficiency and technical expertise
* Good knowledge of analysis techniques
* Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Good IT skills, especially in excel, and specialist energy software
