Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Oldham Care Organisation's Accident and Emergency Department while studying a fully funded apprenticeship route to gain an MSc in Advanced Practice. The training program lasts 24 months, and upon successful completion, the post will progress to an 8a grade. The program is accredited by Health Education England.
We are recruiting Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioners with clinical experience in emergency/urgent care who are ready to advance their careers. You will work within a dynamic multidisciplinary team, supervised by Emergency Medicine Consultants and Advanced Clinical Practitioners, to enhance patient experience through excellent patient-focused care.
Applicants must have proven experience in their clinical specialty and demonstrate motivation for an ACP role. The successful candidate will be paid at Band 7 and, upon completing the MSc, will progress to Band 8A.
Main Duties
The post holder will practice as a trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner (tACP) within the A&E department, providing high-quality, patient-centered care. This includes advanced assessment, diagnostics, treatment, and safe referral, admission, or discharge of patients of all ages with undifferentiated presentations.
* Provide expert clinical care through health assessment, treatment initiation, and monitoring
* Develop clinical practice via research and education of the multidisciplinary team
* Evaluate care quality and clinical outcomes
* Serve as an expert resource for healthcare practitioners
* Ensure highest standards of clinical care and maintain clinical excellence
* Provide clinical leadership and develop specialist education
