The Role
:
As a Diagnostic / Master Technician, your responsibilities will include maintaining, servicing, and repairing vehicles' mechanical and electrical systems. You will be performing various tasks, with a focus on first-time fix and delivering high-quality work.
Duties:
1. Conduct routine maintenance, servicing checks, and repairs in accordance with manufacturer requirements.
2. Perform fault diagnostics on engine, transmission, brakes, air conditioning, security features, fuel systems, and more.
3. Communicate directly with customers to identify and understand concerns related to vehicle performance and provide technical advice.
4. Perform road tests on vehicles after completing repair or service work and accompany customers for demonstration of concerns or faults.
5. Carry out repair and service operations on engine units, drivetrains, suspension components, brakes, air conditioning systems, electrical systems, emissions systems, and interior trim components.
6. Conduct electronic vehicle health checks.
Requirements:
7. Previous experience working as a Diagnostic Technician, Master Technician or in a similar role.
8. Must have dealership experience.
9. NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
10. Technical knowledge of various vehicle makes and models.
11. Skilled in computer usage and quick to learn new systems.
12. Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
Shifts:
13. Monday - Friday: 8:30am - 5:30pm
14. Alternate Saturdays: 8:30am - 12:30pm
