Position: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: East London
Your Role:
Assisting in the preparation of monthly valuations and financial accounts in preparation for invoicing customers.
Monitoring and assessing the financial performance of contracts, ensuring timely payments from customers within contractual terms, and managing subcontractor payments.
Overseeing measurement and valuation processes with the aim of maximizing returns under the provisions of the Contract Conditions and Company procedures while reducing debt and costs.
Developing and updating monthly forecasts/budgets, conducting physical measurement of works, and reaching agreements with clients and subcontractors.
Managing the certification and payment of client and subcontractor accounts and actively assessing, reviewing, and mitigating commercial and contractual risks.
The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate for this role should have the following qualifications and attributes:
Previous experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, ideally within a large, complex multi-site business.
Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and well-organized with a pragmatic and approachable personality.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to develop effective relationships at all levels.
A relevant degree (desirable) or equivalent experience aligned with industry standards.
Experience with NEC TSC contracts.
Membership in RICS or ICES (desirable).
