Job summary The key focus of the practice educator for practice based learning is to support learners to have a positive on boarding experience, supporting clinical assessors and supervisors as well as line managers and other key stakeholders to monitor and track learner progression and providing targeted support in practice as required to ensure positive learner experience and outcomes. The practice educator for practice based learning will champion clinical skills provision for a diverse group of learners. In partnership with key stakeholders they will ensure that policy and clinical guidelines reflect the scope of practice for clinical learners aligned to the relevant professional standards, proficiencies and competencies for each programme of learning. This job is a dual role encompassing both education and case management within the Home First team. You will be required to have experience of discharge planning of complex patients. Involving specialist knowledge relating to complex patient discharge. Main duties of the job This role involves Supporting the Practice Based Learning lead and manager in communication and coordination regarding placement activities, learner programs, and student experiences, engaging with both internal stakeholders and external partners such as colleges and higher education institutes. Responsibilities include promoting pre-registration and various training standards, delivering on education strategy objectives, preparing reports, and expanding clinical placement capacity.
