Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and highly organised volunteer Executive Assistant to support our CEO. In this dynamic role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the CEO’s time is used effectively, supporting schedule management, handling communications, and coordinating key c-suite activities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to make a real impact in a start-up environment while gaining hands-on experience.
Responsibilities
1. Schedule Management: Support the maintenance of the CEO’s calendar, including scheduling meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements.
2. Communication: Support the CEO with drafting email responses, and handle correspondence professionally.
3. Project Support: Assist with preparing presentations, reports, and other materials as needed.
4. Meeting Coordination: Organise meetings, take notes (or take actions from transcriptions) and assign follow up action items as needed.
5. Task Prioritisation: Help the CEO prioritise tasks and stay on track with deadlines for him and the founding team.
6. Stakeholder Liaison: Act as a point of contact between the CEO and internal/external stakeholders.
7. Research: Conduct research to identify opportunities for improving operational efficiencies and driving growth at AVERio.
8. General Administration: Provide ad hoc administrative support as required.
Key Skills and Qualities
1. Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
2. Fluent English written and verbal communication abilities.
3. Proactive, resourceful, and able to work independently.
4. Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
5. Proficiency in tools like Microsoft Office, Canva, Gamma, and project management software.
6. A genuine interest in start-ups, and the UK health and social care sector.

Time Commitment
This role is flexible and can be tailored to suit your availability, with an estimated 2 hrs+ per day for 3 months (60 volunteer days).
