About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school team in Lytham (immediate start). In this role, you will deliver high-quality lessons, inspire students to engage with English, and support their academic development. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about fostering a love for the subject, while providing a strong foundation for students of all abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver engaging English lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
2. Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of a diverse range of learners.
3. Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback and support.
4. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and learning.
5. Support students in their preparation for GCSE exams, providing additional resources and guidance where needed.
6. Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and improve the English curriculum.
Ideal Candidate:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in English or a related field.
2. Experience teaching English at secondary school level (Key Stage 3 & 4).
3. Strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring students.
4. Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
5. Ability to adapt lessons for students with varying abilities, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
6. A positive, proactive attitude and a commitment to student success.
