The Pharmacy Department provides a service to a wide range of patients with diverse needs across a range of specialities. We operate a comprehensive ward based, patient facing clinical service backed by innovative technology. You would become a valued member of the team providing this essential service and in return you will receive full training and support to facilitate your career development You will need to be registered with the GPhC (General Pharmaceutical Council). Ideally you should possess hospital pharmacy experience, hold a medicines management certificate and be a qualified accuracy checking technician. Newly registered (or soon to be qualified) Pharmacy Technicians will be considered but will initially be paid at the AFC Band 4 rate. Support with your career progression will be given in accordance with our Education and Training Strategy. To complete medication counselling on current and newly prescribed medication To order any new medication for the patient. To complete an hour (minimum) accuracy checking slot a day.
