Are you an enthusiastic Clinical or Counselling Psychologist who wishes to make a difference to patients with severe and/or complex mental health difficulties?
An opportunity has arisen for someone to join our service as a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist. This is a key role to be part of the psychological therapies team working within the Adult Mental Health Teams (AMHTs) in South & North Oxfordshire.
We are keen to hear from any newly qualified clinical or counselling psychologists as this role can be offered as a development preceptorship post.
As a flexible employer we would welcome discussions about opportunities we can offer in posts both full and part time.
The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
1. Provide specialist psychological assessments of clients referred to the team.
2. Plan and implement formal psychological treatment and/or management of a client’s mental health problems, based upon an appropriate conceptual framework of the client’s problems, and employing methods of proven efficacy.
3. Implement a range of psychological interventions for individuals, carers, families and groups, adjusting and refining psychological formulations drawing upon different explanatory models and maintaining several provisional hypotheses.
Oxford Health is a great place to work. When making an application, you are encouraged to read the “candidate guide to making an application” which is attached to all roles. Please include details around qualifications (including years these were gained particularly if we need to assess for clinical roles that these are still valid) and ensure that the supporting statement is tailored to the role you are applying for and addresses the essential criteria found in the JD.
