Employment type: Permanent full-time.
Employment basis: The role is expected to be a full-time position.
Salary: Dependent on experience plus bonus and other benefits.

Following on from the success of Hinkley Point C (HPC), the Sizewell C Project is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk, which has obtained planning approval and Government financing support. The project has started construction and is now seeking private investment. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050.
Join Our Team as a Configuration Lead!
Are you ready to play a pivotal role in one of the most ambitious and transformative projects in the UK? The Sizewell C Technical Directorate (TD) are looking for a Configuration Leads to support our dynamic delivery programmes.
The Role
In this role you'll dive into diverse areas, connecting with stakeholders to ensure project-wide awareness and implementation of our Configuration Management arrangements. You’ll tackle emerging risks head-on, breaking down complexities and creating pragmatic solutions that keep the project moving forward.
Working across teams, you’ll help to shape the project’s technical baseline, improving decision-making and boosting visibility at every stage. Your contribution will help to ensure our delivery programmes meet and exceed Configuration Management standards through continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do:
• Working closely with the Configuration Planning Lead and support execution of their Overarching Configuration Management Plan.
• Define, implement and improve Configuration Management arrangements (e.g. standards, procedures, guidance, forms and tools)
• Define Configuration items selection criteria, oversee identification and recording of Configuration Items and Product Configuration Information within a programme.
• Engage with stakeholders to establish configuration baselines, manage changes, and produce configuration status reports that inform critical decisions.
• Administer the change control process, ensuring changes are recorded, assessed, expedited, and closed effectively.
• Prepare data-driven Configuration Status Reports to support key management decisions and provide clarity on configuration activities.
• Establish and deliver training to programme participants, empowering them to understand and fulfil their Configuration Management responsibilities.
• Collaborate on Engineering Data and Information Management activities, ensuring tools and processes meet Configuration Management requirements.
About You

The Skills
• Capable of coordinating cross cutting technical topics and applying configuration management procedures.
• Capable of defining Configuration Management related procedures pragmatically aligned with project needs.
• General professional qualities such as accuracy, tenacity, result-oriented and teamwork-oriented attitude, and diplomacy.
• Ability to work independently, be pro-active, report on and escalate relevant issues.
• Good communication/interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written communication.
• An understanding of engineering within large scale infrastructure projects.
Desirable
• In-depth knowledge of Configuration Management standards and guidance.
• Previous experience in the nuclear industry.
