Instrumentel is a world leading provider of asset monitoring solutions for precision measurement in extreme environments. Our solutions include Conditions-Based Predictive Maintenance, Condition Monitoring of remote assets and predictive analytics to improve asset performance.
We currently have an opening for a Field Engineer to join our busy engineering team. Based out of the office in Leeds, you will be required to build, install, service and maintain company products on customer sites across the UK and internationally if required. Travel is a fundamental part of this role. While on customer sites, you will also be required to provide technical advice and support to those on the projects and to other engineers in the team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assemble hardware for Instrumentel systems
2. Perform tests on Instrumentel systems to validate quality and performance levels
3. Manage inventory accuracy and store room discipline
4. Install, service and maintain company products on varying sites
5. Support team projects as and when required
6. Provide customers with support and information on products
7. Provide support to the sales team and be aware of cross selling opportunities
8. Represent Instrumentel and Unipart Technologies Group in a professional manner at all times
9. Work in a safe manner, taking reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and other people at work, following appropriate Health and Safety guidance, training and company rules and procedures as appropriate.
10. Report any accidents, hazards or dangerous/unsafe behaviour to your line manager immediately.
Successful candidates will have GCSE A-C grades (or equivalent) in Maths and English and will hold a HND (or equivalent) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering. A degree in a relevant Engineering subject would also be an advantage. Candidates must also hold a full UK driving license as travel is essential in the role.

Due to the technical nature of the role, the successful candidate will need to have experience in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and have experience of building and testing of components, whilst knowledge of installation and maintenance in the Railway industry would be beneficial.
