Elmhurst Ballet School is a highly successful vocational ballet boarding school associated with Birmingham Royal Ballet and is based one mile from the city centre in Edgbaston. Students are equipped with the skills, resilience and creativity to succeed and make a difference in the professional dance world and beyond. Our philosophy is Live, Dance, Learn; supporting excellence in dance, excellence in health and wellbeing and excellence in academic study. Our aim is to train and educate students in classical ballet and other dance styles to such a high standard that graduates go on to dance for Birmingham Royal Ballet and other national and international dance companies.
The school is seeking to recruit a part-time Teacher in Charge of Modern Foreign Languages, teaching this subject at all key stages. Elmhurst is academically non-selective but has excellent levels of student achievement. Students are taught in classes of around 25 at KS3, with small option groups at KS4 and KS5. The majority of student’s board at the school with a small number of day students.
The successful candidate will be able to teach up to GCSE level in French and Italian.
