A vacancy has arisen for a Cold End Engineer (Dayshift) at our Irvine plant.
The successful applicant should be a time served engineer with a mechanical engineering background and electrical knowledge and be educated to HNC level or equivalent.
Responsibilities:

Prepare cold end mechanical and electrical equipment ready for a job change to ensure equipment meets necessary specifications for the new job.

Take part in job changes, setting up and adjusting cold end equipment as necessary to maintain efficient operations during and after job change.

Identify and rectify mechanical and electrical faults with cold end equipment in order to maintain efficiency and reduce downtime.
:
Modify and adjust cold end equipment as necessary in order to maintain efficient operations and minimise downtime.
Required skills / qualifications:

Time Served Engineer with mechanical engineering background and electrical knowledge.
:
Educated to HNC level or equivalent.
:
Experience, preferably from a role requiring multi:disciplines.
:
Computer literate.
:
Good oral and written communication skills.
:
Must be able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
:
A good understanding of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Tools and continuous improvement.
:
Awareness of relevant Health and Safety and Hygiene Regulations, including risk assessments.

Salary based on Grade 6 of the harmonised pay scales (Dayworkers). Minimum grade GBP 34,181 per annum to a maximum grade GBP 39,104 per annum.
