Inside Sales Manager (Cambridge, UK) - Nordic West The Inside Sales Account Manager collaborates with Territory Account Managers to develop opportunities in large academic accounts, engages with customers, provides product guidance, and closes sales. This role supports our Nordic West Territory, therefore relevant language skills would be advantageous (Norwegian / Danish). This role could be based in our European Head Office in Cambridge, UK. This role is office-based 3 days per week, typically with Wednesday as an anchor day. Preferred Experiential Background: Works together with the Territory Account Manager (TAM) to develop opportunities in a defined list of existing large academic accounts Works either individually or together with the Direct Marketing Team on prospecting activities to find new contacts and develop new opportunities Engages with new and existing customers via phone and email, with some potential for field visits Guides customers to the Illumina products that best meet their needs, coordinating with internal resources to address customer questions or objections, providing pricing, creating and submitting individualized quotations and closing the sales process through point of order receipt Maintains up to date contact and opportunity information in CRM database Provides input to the TAM to enable accurate forecasting Works collaboratively with the wider sales team including Sales Specialists and Service Contracts team Establishes and maintains strong, positive, productive relationships with customer accounts including product end-users, management and purchasing contacts Tracks and reports on all activities to relevant TAM and to managers Requirements and Skills: Fluency in English required, additional relevant Nordic languages would be advantages Knowledge of Genetic analysis techniques (PCR / NGS / Sanger etc) –not essential Able to quickly grasp and master highly technical concepts and articulate them well to others Outstanding listening, verbal and written communication skills - articulate and quick thinking Team goal oriented with a focus on achieving team sales performance metrics.
