Overview
Would you like to join a dynamic and friendly team? Gallagher’s Insurance Brokers in Kings Hill, West Malling are seeking an Account Handler to join them. You will work closely with our expert Senior Account Handlers and Account Executives who will support and nurture you. Your role will involve servicing client accounts throughout the year, including the renewal process. This could include administration, preparation of presentations to insurers, negotiating premiums with underwriters, and processing adjustments and other documentation as the need arises. This highly multifaceted role offers an excellent opportunity to enter the insurance industry.
How you'll make an impact
* Collaborate with your team to focus on the support needs of your clients, ensuring customer needs are at the center of your actions.
* Create renewal documents, handle mid-term adjustments, and design new quotes for customers, showcasing strong administration skills.
* Accurately record and enter all client details onto Acturis promptly to maintain accurate client records for audit purposes.
* Adopt organizational excellence to ensure cover is in place by the relevant date, demonstrating outstanding time management and a practical approach to multi-tasking.
* Manage insurer queries for client policies, assist clients with day-to-day queries related to existing policies, and liaise with insurers regarding potential changes and new terms for policies.
* Confirm cover with relevant insurers, process policies, and seek outstanding documentation when required.
* Handle account queries and credit control matters, highlighting any concerns to account managers promptly. Prepare invoices, registers, and other documentation.
* Understand and apply legal and regulatory policies as the need arises, aligning with AJG Professional Standards Manual.
About You
* Educated to A-C Grade GCSE standard or equivalent in Maths and English.
* Basic IT skills.
* Eligible to work in the UK.
