Full-time (1.0 FTE) appointment on a fixed term basis to 30 June 2027. Base salary range: $100,524 – $111,534 p.a. plus 17% superannuation. About the area The Resilient Landscapes Hub delivers applied research to support the management of Australia’s terrestrial and freshwater habitats, including a focus on bushfire recovery, feral animals and invasive species impacts, and accessible science to assist land managers in developing and maintaining resilient, sustainable, and productive landscapes. The Hub has a budget of $47 million over six years and includes researchers from 11 universities, the CSIRO and state government research agencies. About the opportunity Support the adoption of knowledge gained by the Hub to improve decision making in the sustainable development of Australia’s unique environmental resources. Increase the impact of the Hub’s research and science communication through strategic externally focused activities. Design and implement knowledge brokering and synthesis activities targeted, effective and integrated, and build on existing research and knowledge. About you Relevant tertiary qualification in environmental science, natural resource management or similar disciplines, or demonstrated equivalent competency. Experience in the application of research to environmental management or policy. Substantial experience in research management, reporting and publication in relation to natural resource management initiatives. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to communicate complex scientific matters to policy makers and managers. Substantial experience in developing knowledge products for a wide range of audiences including local communities, Indigenous Australians, politicians, government agencies and industries.
