Team Leader - Shift Based in Mexborough (Rotherham)
Salary: £35,000 per year + Overtime (Paid at Time and a Half)
Hours: Week 1 – 6am to 6pm, Week 2 – 6pm to 6am (Rotating Shift)
Job Overview: Are you an experienced team leader looking for an exciting new challenge? We are seeking a dedicated and driven Team Leader to join our team in Mexborough (Rotherham). As a Team Leader on our rotating shifts, you will play a crucial role in overseeing shift operations, ensuring safety and quality, and driving performance within the team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills, experience in process control, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead & Manage the Shift Team: Act as the main point of contact for colleagues, other Team Leaders, and management during your shift. Ensure a smooth handover at the start and end of each shift.
Production & Quality Control: Ensure the weekly production plan is met, and that products are manufactured according to the required specifications, with in-process testing as necessary.
Team Performance: Motivate and support the team to meet production targets, ensuring consistent quality and efficient operations.
Safety & Compliance: Champion health, safety, environmental, and quality standards across the shift, ensuring a safe working environment for all.
Training & Development: Identify training needs, offer coaching, and provide hands-on training to develop team skills and capabilities.
Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvements, ensuring that equipment is maintained, and production targets are continually met.
Logistics Coordination: Manage raw materials, packaging, and finished product, ensuring all production demands are met.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Leadership Experience: Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, with experience managing performance in a shift-based environment.
Attention to Detail: High attention to detail in ensuring product quality and safety standards are met.
Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to resolve issues and implement improvements quickly.
Safety Conscious: A strong commitment to safety and compliance with statutory regulations.
Forklift Experience: Certified forklift truck operator (desirable).
