Role Responsibilities
The Maintenance Operative is responsible for domestic repairs and maintenance, minor projects, and ensuring compliance for the site’s operation.
* Ensure the environment is safe, welcoming, clean, hygienic, and in good repair
* Maintain high standards of record keeping and reporting
* Participate in quality audits
* Address contractor works that fall below standards
* Ensure compliance with national regulations and inspection standards
* Manage workload proactively
* Collaborate with the Regional Facilities Manager on projects
* Identify and implement improvements for the facility
* Complete projects on time and leave contractor areas in good condition
* Maintain the grounds
Candidate Requirements
Ideal candidates will have building and maintenance knowledge, compliance experience, and record-keeping skills. A trade background is preferred but not essential.
Enhanced DBS checks and references will be conducted in line with regulations. Online searches will be part of safeguarding procedures, focusing on suitability to work with children.
