QHSE Advisor (Quality Bias) Location: Oxford Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per year Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Position Overview: Our client, a well-established organisation within the manufacturing/engineering sector, is seeking a dedicated QHSE Advisor to join their team. Reporting directly to the Business Director, this combined role encompasses key responsibilities in quality management, health and safety, and environmental compliance, ensuring the company’s processes align with both internal and external standards, particularly ISO 9001:2015. Key Responsibilities: Quality Management: Ensure the Quality Management System (QMS) is effectively established, implemented, and maintained. Act as the main point of contact for customer audits, service reviews, and quality-related issues, promoting awareness of customer requirements across the business. Report on QMS performance, identify areas for improvement, and ensure ongoing suitability and effectiveness of the QMS. Manage document control, ensuring all critical documents are reviewed and updated regularly. Conduct regular customer satisfaction assessments, implement improvements, and provide management updates. Lead internal audits, ensuring any non-conformances are addressed and corrective actions are implemented. Continuously analyse data to identify opportunities for improvement within the QMS. Health & Safety: Serve as the primary liaison with the company’s Health & Safety consultants. Collaborate with the Business Director to implement health and safety improvement plans. Regularly review health and safety compliance, ensuring timely action on any regulatory requirements. Oversee accident reporting and near-miss recording processes, providing feedback to management and fostering a proactive health and safety culture. Develop risk assessments and ensure all health and safety documentation is up-to-date and traceable. Person Specification: Proven experience in a quality-led environment, ideally within manufacturing or engineering. Knowledge of quality control procedures, legal standards, and ISO accreditations. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with all levels of the organisation. Highly organised with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to continuous improvement. Certification in quality control (e.g., ISO 9000) is advantageous. Experience with health and safety regulations and practices.
