Job summary Support the Clinical Lead for Neurology and the Band 7 Therapy Team in the planning, co-ordinating, delivering and evaluating the Therapy service provided to patients within the Neuro rehab unit on a day-to-day basis. To take a major role for the Therapy team in the assessment and treatment of patients within the Neuro rehab Unit who may have complex and/ or chronic presentations. To manage a daily clinical caseload of neurology patients, and be responsible for the assessment, treatment and management of these patients and to give specialised therapy advice to members of the MDT. To deputise for Band 7 Therapists, on clinical and managerial issues within the team To be actively involved with training within the Department Take part in the respiratory on call rota. The working days will need to include Thursday and Friday, due to service needs. Main duties of the job Senior Physiotherapists work closely with all users of our services and their families, friends and carers who all play an invaluable contribution in how our users experience our services.
