Job summary
We are looking to recruit a Band 7 Cardiac Physiologist to join our Electrophysiology team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with some of the latest technology including CARTO 3D Mapping and CRYO Ablation, and to take part in the development of our services as we undergo a regeneration of our Cath Labs and Kit. We manage all arrhythmias including AF, SVT and VTs.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be part of a small sub-team of 8 EP Physiologists including two consultant Electrophysiologists and two Arrhythmia Nurses. We have 3 Catheter labs at in our Cardiac Investigations Unit and EP Lab lists run all day 3 times a week. You will rotate through the EP and C RM service to maintain your Pacing skills and support a variety in you working environment. You will report to the Cath Lab Lead Physiologist and Head of Service.

Job responsibilities
The post holder will be proficient in Electrophysiology (EP) Studies, mapping and Ablation.
They will work initially as a second, shadowing the current senior EP team members, then progress to Lead in EP cases operating the mapping systems, when confident. We currently have 2 EP physiologists in Lab lists to support setting up equipment (as we operate in a hybrid lab), operating the EPS, Pacing and Mapping systems, turnaround and archiving/databasing.
They will work closely with the EP team and Consultants to provide a safe and high standard of care for patients undergoing EP procedures.
They will be responsible for their own CPD, supported by the lead Physiologist and team.

Qualifications
Essential
1. BSc Cardiac Physiology/Healthcare Science (Cardiology) or equivalent
Desirable
2. Postgraduate qualification in EP such as BHRS/IBHRE/EHRS accreditation
3. AHCS / RCCP or HCPC registration

4. Experience and a good level of confidence in the EP lab using various modes of treatment and mapping
