Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and Canon-trained Printer Engineer to join our team in the Southeast. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and support of Canon printing devices, ensuring optimal performance for our clients. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a strong technical background in printer servicing, specifically Canon devices, to be part of a growing and dynamic company.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform installations, repairs, and maintenance on Canon printers (laser, inkjet, and multifunction devices).
* Provide on-site support and troubleshooting for Canon printers at client locations.
* Diagnose and resolve printer issues, including hardware malfunctions, software issues, and connectivity problems.
* Conduct regular servicing and preventative maintenance on Canon devices to ensure maximum efficiency and lifespan.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Canon printer technologies, including new product releases and updates.
* Offer technical support and advice to customers over the phone or through remote troubleshooting.
* Keep detailed records of service calls, work completed, and parts used.
* Ensure all relevant health and safety regulations are followed during repairs and installations.
* Work with the customer service team to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
* Participate in product training and development sessions to continuously improve technical expertise.
* PDI and Refurbish devices in our offices when needed.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Canon Certified Engineer:
* Must have completed official Canon training programs, with certification as a Canon printer engineer.
* Proven experience in repairing and maintaining Canon printers (laser, inkjet, and multifunction).
* In-depth knowledge of Canon printing technology, including troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
* Strong technical ability and problem-solving skills.
* Experience with different types of printers (e.g., small office to enterprise-level machines).
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients.
* Full UK driving license
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good IT knowledge, including an understanding of networking and software used for printer diagnostics.
* Flexibility to work in different locations across the Southeast.
* Flexibility to come into the office and PDI and Refurbish when needed.
Preferred Skills:
* Previous experience working in a field service role is desirable.
* Strong customer service orientation and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Willing to work in a Hybrid role, working inside and out of London.
