About the Role: Provide strategic leadership and vision for the art department, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality and engaging art curriculum across all Key Stages. Lead and manage a team of specialist art teachers, fostering a collaborative and supportive working environment. Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to inspire creativity and develop artistic skills in students of all abilities. Oversee the maintenance and development of art facilities and resources, ensuring they meet the needs of our students and teachers. Plan and organize art exhibitions, workshops, and artistic events, showcasing student talent and fostering a love for art throughout the school community. Contribute to the wider life of the school community, promoting the value of art and creativity. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong background in Art and Design and a proven track record of leadership in an art department. Experience teaching Art across all Key Stages, with a particular focus on A-Level. A strong understanding of diverse artistic mediums and techniques, and a passion for fostering creativity and innovation in young people. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
