13T Excavator Driver Required - EH14, Edinburgh\n Start Date: Tuesday 29th April 2025\n Duration: 2-3 Weeks\n Rate: Competitive (based on experience and tickets held)\n\nWe are currently seeking an experienced and competent 13-ton excavator operator for a civil engineering project located in the EH14 area of Edinburgh. This is a short-term contract position offering consistent work for 2-3 weeks with the possibility of further opportunities for the right candidate.\n\nRole Overview:\n\nThe successful applicant will be responsible for operating a 13-ton tracked excavator on a live construction site. The work will primarily involve:\n\nTrenching for drainage and utilities\nGrading and levelling\nAssisting with foundation and groundworks preparation\nLifting operations (where applicable and if suitably ticketed)\nGeneral support to the site team as requiredKey Requirements:\n\nValid CPCS or NPORS card (with excavator category A59 or equivalent)\nProven experience operating a 13T machine in a construction or civil engineering environment\nSound understanding of on-site health & safety practices\nAbility to work both independently and under direction from the site manager or foreman\nFull PPE (hard hat, high-vis, safety boots, gloves, and goggles)\nReliable and punctual, with good communication skillsDesirable:\n\nLifting ops or other relevant endorsements\nExperience working on drainage or infrastructure jobs\nOwn transport due to site location, although not essentialWhat We Offer:\n\nImmediate start on Tuesday 29th April\n2-3 weeks of steady work on a well-managed, organised site\nCompetitive hourly rate, paid weekly (PAYE or CIS options available depending on engagement)\nFriendly and professional working environment\nPotential for future work on upcoming projectsIf you are available and meet the above criteria, please get in touch as soon as possible to secure your place.\n\nBarker Ross Group values diversity and promotes equality.
