For more information, visit: https://www.thunes.com/ As Thunes continues its journey of high growth, we are looking to expand our team with an experienced: VP CREDIT RISK Based in London and reporting to our CFO, this role will be responsible for designing, implementing and monitoring credit risk policies across Thunes’ global business. Responsibilities Design and implement credit risk policies, procedures and models for Thunes, including for monitoring and enforcement as well as reporting to Thunes’ Risk Committee Partner with Legal & Compliance to create the frameworks and contracts related to payment terms and enforcement Develop and implement risk strategies for the Thunes business Undertake quality credit risk assessments, within agreed service levels, as necessary for an existing portfolio of customers (including applications for increased/additional credit risk appetites) together with applications for credit exposure for new customers Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis to assess potential credit risk impacts Track utilization of credit exposure and payments made within agreed payment terms. Work closely with the Product and Technology teams to implement additional automation and enhanced dashboarding mechanisms Implement procedures to identify deteriorating credit statuses /increased risk of loss/chargeback/reversal rates and undertake necessary actions to mitigate the associate risk Stay up to date with industry trends and regulatory changes Working closely with the Product team on product development as the SME for risk Assist the wider Finance function with regulatory reporting and audit processes What you bring A minimum of 5 years of experience in credit risk management at a bank or regulated payment institution Experience with designing and implementing credit risk policies, procedures and models A strong understanding of credit risk management (scoring) techniques and ability to apply these independently, both in individual assessment of customers and partners as on a portfolio level Experience with internal and external audits related to credit risk Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in particular, the ability to convey complex or difficult messages in a clear and concise manner to both internal and external stakeholders Result-oriented, strategic thinker who appreciates the business impact of decisions and commercial challenges, and can see through problems to get solutions done Project management experience and proven ability to influence cross-functional teams. Strong analytical skills, creative, detail oriented, and solid problem-solving skills with a passion for new frameworks
