Job summary Permanent contract, 37.5 hours Trauma coordinator role working at GRH. This is a very busy role managing the trauma workload for orthopaedics at Gloucester Royal hospital. All referrals come from all over the county and the role organises surgery for this group of patients. There are many components for this post and it is very challenging on a daily basis. Patients are contacted and given advice on injuries and prepared to have surgery if appropriate. The team is very friendly and works well as a team. There is opportunity for development and you will be well supported while learning new skills. IT skills are essential for this post and the ability to communicate at the highest level as we are the main contact for this patient group. Additional working pattern details: Includes weekends and bank holidays Main duties of the job Attend and organise the trauma meeting each day. Bring in and organise patients for the theatre list priority and organise beds. Contact patients waiting at home and give advice and support when required.
