Key responsibilities In this Homeless Prevention Officer job, your responsibilities will include: Managing referrals, appointments and walk-ins to the centre Offering a holistic approach, listening to their situations and able to assist them with housing related support Along with independent living skills you will help individuals with bidding for housing and setting up benefits Provide information, advice and guidance relating to homeless assessments Booking and attending appointments Helping them overcome barriers they may face externally - mental health / domestic violence / substance misuse / learning disabilities - encouraging them to engage with external agencies to seek help Keeping track of payments for Housing / service charge / rent etc Skills & experience Proven track record of working In an Homeless Prevention Officer role or supported housing before - up to date knowledge of housing legislation Is required Willing to travel across the Nottingham area - care driver Is not essential but highly desired DBS on the update service - needs to be an enhanced child and adult cleared Flexible to work 5 days over 7 shift work If you would like more information you can all the office on and ask for Alisha To apply for the position of Accommodation Support Officer please apply within If you would like more information you can all the office on and ask for Alisha.
