Join to apply for the SP209054 - Pharmacist role at NHS Ayrshire & Arran
We are looking for ambitious and motivated pharmacist(s) to join our current team of Band 6 rotational pharmacists. You will be based within Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and rotations may involve the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital, The Aberdeen Maternity Hospital and Woodend Hospital (all in Aberdeen city).
It is a very exciting period for NHS Grampian as we have two major developments: the ANCHOR Centre (Cancer) and the Baird Family Hospital (which will replace the current maternity hospital), currently in construction and both due to open in 2025/26. We have a new NHS Grampian Strategy focusing on creating sustainable health and care over the next 10 years, providing a balance between responding to illness and helping people to stay well.
You will participate in our established rotation, laying a foundation of knowledge and experience in a range of pharmacy disciplines, including medicine, oncology, surgery, paediatrics, aseptic dispensing, medicines information, dispensary, radiopharmacy, and quality assurance. Training and support will be provided and centred around the post-registration foundation framework.
This role includes a commitment to joining our on-call rota. Training for on-call duties will commence after an initial settling-in period.
We welcome applications from qualified pharmacists and foundation pharmacists in training due to qualify July/Aug 25.
Informal enquiries about this post should be directed to Kim Cruttenden (Principal Pharmacist) at gram.pharmacyari@nhs.scot.
