An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Westlands Inpatient team.
Our female mental health treatment unit team who are well invested in cultural review and reform, is looking for an enthusiastic individual with acute mental health leadership experience, to enhance and deliver the work being undertaken to optimise the Trust's acute pathway.
This position requires an inspirational, innovative and creative leader who can strengthen the management of ongoing developments and delivery of care within Westlands and the wider Inpatient Service, as part of the senior leadership team.
Westlands is an 18-bedded fast-paced mental health treatment unit and forms part of the acute treatment pathway within our service model. We have a wide range of patients with complex needs who require a period of inpatient treatment as part of their ongoing recovery from crisis.
Main duties of the job
The ability to influence others is crucial in the Team Leader position alongside the unit Clinical Effectiveness Lead.
A professional qualification with substantial post registration experience is essential. You will be supported to develop within your role with support from the Service Manager and Modern Matron. You will have access to regular supervision, both individual and in group settings. The Trust offers a full training package and induction programme for those transferring into the organisation from elsewhere.
You will be working as part of a forward-thinking, highly developed Multi-Disciplinary Team with a range of other health professionals, and an experienced wider team who offer a supportive value-based working environment. You will be encouraged, through the various routes of training, supervision, peer support and reflective practice as you further develop your career and potential.

Knowledge
Essential
1. Full understanding of relevant policy, legislation, drivers and their application to clinical and service area, Mental Capacity Act, Social Inclusion, Safeguarding Children
2. Full understanding/application of relevant clinical practice/standards/audit within identified service area

3. Specialist/advanced understanding/application of relevant managerial and leadership aspects of the service area
