Job Advertisement: Fire and Security Engineer
Our client, a leading facilities management company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fire and Security Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Fire and Security Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire detection and security systems across various commercial and residential properties.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Install, configure, and maintain fire detection and security systems, including CCTV, access control, and intruder alarms.
2. Conduct routine inspections and testing of fire and security systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
3. Respond to emergency callouts and undertake immediate repairs to restore the functionality of fire and security systems.
4. Troubleshoot system faults and carry out necessary repairs and replacements in a timely manner.
5. Provide technical support and advice to clients, ensuring their understanding of system operations and maintenance requirements.
6. Keep accurate records of all installations, repairs, and maintenance work performed.
7. Collaborate with other team members and external contractors to ensure smooth project delivery and excellent customer service.
8. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, advancements, and best practises.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
9. Proven experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire detection and security systems.
10. Sound knowledge of fire safety regulations and security system standards.
11. Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills to identify and resolve system faults.
12. Proficiency in using relevant tools and equipment necessary for installation and maintenance work.
13. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
14. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and prioritising workload effectively.
15. A valid driving licence is required.

Working Hours:
40 hours per week. Hours to be worked between 7.30am-4.30pm Monday-Friday.
You will be based at your home and travel to your work location for that day, you will have paid travel time, any journey which is further than a 30 minute drive from your home location.
