Information about the position
As the Electronics Verification Team Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient testing of smartphones, tablets, and consoles, while leading a team. Based within our technical operations team, your leadership will be essential for upholding quality standards, optimizing workflow, and improving device turnaround times to enhance customer satisfaction. Reporting to the Head of Technical Services, you'll also work closely with our Quality Assurance and Process Improvement teams to align electronics testing standards with company goals.
Your role will combine hands-on expertise in device diagnostics with strong team management skills to foster a collaborative environment. Your contributions will ensure streamlined operations and high-quality results across all parts of the verification process.
In this position, you'll
1. Lead and support a team of technicians, organizing daily tasks to ensure timely completion of electronics testing.
2. Conduct diagnostic and functionality tests on various electronic devices, troubleshooting hardware and software issues as they arise.
3. Oversee and uphold quality standards within the team, ensuring all verification operations and tests meet company criteria.
4. Continuously assess and improve testing processes to reduce device turnaround times and enhance efficiency.
5. Assist the business team in developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and preparing processes for scale-up and automation.
About you
1. Have a strong understanding of electronics fundamentals, with hands-on experience in small electronics repair, refurbishment or similar areas.
2. Good understanding of device functionality, including knowledge of common hardware and software issues.
3. Comfortable with process and team management; experience in managing teams, projects, or processes is an advantage.
4. Skilled in troubleshooting and problem-solving, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical issues.
5. Proficient in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
6. Versatile, adaptable, and committed to high standards of quality, detail orientation, and collaboration.
7. Advantage: Familiarity with mobile phones, computers, or other electronic devices that are assembled, repaired or refurbished, or other in-depth experience.
