Position
Arran War Memorial Hospital is looking for enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals to join our friendly team on the beautiful Isle of Arran.
What you will do:
Arran War Memorial Hospital is looking for enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals to join our friendly team on the beautiful Isle of Arran.
Applicants should have a wide range of general radiographic experience and will preferably have suitable and significant post graduate experience. You should have sound plain film radiography skills as when you are working you will be the only Radiographer on the island, due to the remote location help from our mainland sites is limited.
Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
The successful candidate should be an innovative, highly motivated radiographer with good communication and team working skills.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate a commitment to professional development and show a keen interest in the future of their profession and the Diagnostic Imaging services.
They will be expected to support both the service and its staff in continuing to maintain and develop the highest standards of imaging. You will be involved in departmental audit activities and excellent communication and team working skills are essential.
In return the successful applicant will be offered a high standard of support towards their career pathway.
It is essential you have a BSc (Hons) or equivalent in Diagnostic Radiography / Imaging
Services with current registration with the HCPC.
Our department actively promotes a positive culture of CPD.
An up-to-date Continuing Personal Development portfolio is required.
Hours: Bank
Base Hospital is Arran War Memorial Hospital but you may be asked to work on other sites within NHS Ayrshire & Arran. When you are working on Arran you will stay in comfortable private rental self-catering accommodation, provided by NHS AA.
A car owner / driver is essential as you will be staying approx. 1 mile from the hospital and expected to cover on-calls overnight and at weekends.
