Role Responsibility
This full-time post is for either a fixed-term contract for external candidates or a secondment for internal candidates providing they have agreement from the substantive manager, and would therefore be open to both and dependent on the successful candidates circumstances. The duration of the post is until 31st October 2025.
Kent Trading Standards are offering an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join our successful Vape Compliance team, you will join the team in focusing on activity across the county to decrease the access of vape products to children under the legal age limit.
No prior enforcement or regulatory experience will be necessary for this support role, but would be beneficial. You will be well organized and a good communicator able to influence the behavior of retailers as well as liaising with partner agencies. You will also need good IT skills to collate data from visits and provide summary reports at regular intervals.
Our office is based in Ashford with capability for you to work from home where appropriate. You will be expected to work across Kent regularly to carry out visits, to support this, standard mileage rates are provided for use of your own vehicle (which will be necessary) as you will need to get to a variety of locations across the county on a daily basis.
