Job title: Civil Structural Engineer
Job Type: Contract
Start date: ASAP - Subject to clearance
Duration: 12 months
Location: Devonport
Hours of work: 35 hours per week
Applicants must have experience of the following:
- Ability to gain security clearance
- Degree or equivalent in Civil or Structural engineering
- Experience designing heavy civil engineering and building structures to relevant codes (Seismic preferable)
- Knowledge of architectural design of industrial buildings
- Knowledge of construction techniques
- Demonstrable skills required in a technical design development
Ideally applicants should also have:
- Chartership status or working towards it
Role information:
- Undertake the delivery of structural engineering activities
- Be responsible for technical aspects of the work packages throughout the project life cycle
- Ensure design documentation covers the agreed scope and meets the agreed standards, budgets and time schedules
- Plan for project implementation
- Ensure quality standards are met
- Ensure activities undertaken are documented appropriately and records and maintained
- Ensure health and safety procedures and legislation are adhered to
