Doubletree by Hilton is seeking a dynamic and results driven Business Development Manager MICE to join our team. This is a highly proactive role reporting to the Director of Sales that requires passion for the hotel industry. Responsible for growing new and lapsed Meetings and Events business through Agents and Direct Corporate Clients. You will have a background in meetings and events sales in either a venue or agency. We are looking for a proven history in identifying prospects, unearthing leads, building relationships, and winning new business. You will love presenting and have an excellent communication style with clients and stakeholders at all levels. Ability to conduct site visits showcasing the venue, how the space can be used in new and exciting ways and securing profitable bookings against Budget. Networking and attending industry awards /events to build relationships and bring awareness of the venue. You will have a history for driving growth and success in previous roles and have built key relationships with Clients and Agents to show case our venue. Essential & Desirable Job Criteria: Full Driving Licence E In-depth knowledge of sales techniques, strategies, and best practices specific to the hospitality industry D Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effectively interacting with clients, team members, and stakeholders. E Strong negotiation abilities to secure favourable deals, contracts, and partnerships with clients. E Ability to think strategically, set clear sales objectives aligned with business goals, and develop actionable plans to achieve them E. Previous Field Sales Experience E Background in Meetings and Events E Proficiency in using a CRM system to manage customer data, track interactions, and streamline sales processes. D Comprehensive understanding of the hospitality industry, including hotel operations, guest experience, and industry trends. D. Proven networking skills to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, industry contacts, and potential clients E. Familiarity with revenue management principles and strategies to maximise hotel revenue through pricing optimisation and demand forecasting. E Familiarity with sales and marketing technologies, including social media platforms, email marketing tools, and online booking systems, to support sales efforts and enhance efficiency. E Operating Parameters: Proven history in MICE sales, ideally within the hospitality sector. Strong understanding of the MICE market and industry trends. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to build and nurture long-term client relationships. Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
