Cover Teacher South Norwood Location: South Norwood, Greater London, England Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time Primary Industry: Education and Training Salary: £148 - £174 Per day Job Duties: Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and materials to students in the absence of the regular teacher Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment Provide feedback to students and school staff on student progress Follow the school's policies and procedures Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required Required Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Experience working in a similar role within an educational setting Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to adapt to different teaching styles and environments Education: Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field Experience: Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience Knowledge and Skills: Strong understanding of the UK national curriculum Effective classroom management techniques Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficient in using technology for teaching purposes Preferred Qualifications: Additional certifications in specific subject areas Experience working with diverse student populations Working Conditions: This role involves working on a temporary, part-time basis, typically during school hours. The cover teacher may be required to work in different classrooms and with different age groups. The ability to adapt quickly to new environments and establish rapport with students is essential.
