We are currently looking to recruit to the above position within the Trust's small in-house maintenance and grounds service. You would be working at a variety of NHS premises throughout Sheffield including in and outpatient facilities, providing an excellent customer service and a high standard of maintenance.
This opportunity would suit a time-served Plumber Craftsperson who has the aptitude, knowledge, and skills to work on a vast array of plumbing and gas infrastructure and equipment within the Estate. The post holder will be expected to undertake unsupervised installation, fault diagnosis, pre-planned maintenance, and repairs to a wide scope of building services, engineering plant, and associated equipment. A flexible approach and willingness to learn new skills is essential in this varied role.
Your positive attitude and capacity to work well within a team will ensure your success. You must be able to work alone without direct supervision, as well as working as a team member when required. Supervision of other maintenance workers will be required as directed.
You should be a car owner/driver and will be reimbursed for mileage travelled on official duties. You will be required to drive NHS vehicles (e.g., small vans) and be able to participate in the on-call system.
Main Duties of the Job
To assist the Estate Services management team to deliver high-quality and value-for-money building services across the Trust's properties, particularly ensuring equipment, fabric, and utility services comply with all health and safety regulations, NHS standards, manufacturers' recommendations, and any other statutory requirements.
The post holder will undertake multi-skilled works to all Trust properties. Duties will include installing, maintaining, servicing, and repairing a range of plumbing and building equipment, working internally and externally. This will include maintenance of equipment, fabric, and utility services for all Trust-owned properties as well as those leased and maintained via contract.
The post holder will take part in the emergency on-call rota, providing effective out-of-hours cover and reacting to emergency calls.

Working across the city at a variety of sites ranging from medium-sized hospitals to small health centres and admin blocks. It is a small team delivering a specific service aiming to comply with statutory requirements and KPIs.
Job Responsibilities
The post holder will perform work activities which are often complex and/or non-routine. Responsible for calibration and fault-finding on a wide range of engineering plants, boilers, and water heaters, general air conditioning/ventilation controls, and building control. Undertake fault diagnosis and fault rectification on gas plants including BMS systems. In addition, planning and installation of minor improvement work as directed by management.

Experience
* Knowledge of NHS and HTMs.
* Good knowledge of Health and Safety.
Qualifications
* City & Guilds Level 3 plumbing qualification.
* City & Guilds plumbing/work experience.
* Gas Safe Qualifications.
* Domestic/Commercial.
