We are looking to hire a Senior IT Programme Delivery Manager who will be responsible for the successful delivery of programmes and projects, managing stakeholder engagement up to senior IT leadership and the wider business. What you'll be doing As the Senior IT Programme Delivery Manager, you will oversee the entire programme and project life cycle, from gathering business requirements to successful implementation and adoption. The role requires managing multiple concurrent project streams, tracking budgetary spend and communicating complex technical subjects to a diverse group of senior stakeholders. In addition to this, you will be responsible for the following: Lead the definition, facilitation, and delivery of programmes/projects within agreed costs and timelines. Manage stakeholder and customer expectations regarding scope, timelines, and deliverables. Conduct programme/project meetings, capturing actions and ensuring timely completion. Prioritise work against team capacity in collaboration with Delivery Managers. Coordinate team resources to meet milestones and goals. Develop and communicate comprehensive programme/project plans. Understand programme/project purpose and scope to ensure successful delivery. Serve as the primary escalation point for risks, issues, and dependencies. Maintain realistic programme/project plans and distribute concise stakeholder communications. Manage the change control procedure for IT service readiness. Energise the project team and foster a high-performance culture. Act as the main contact for all programme/project aspects, facilitating necessary meetings. Negotiate with senior stakeholders to ensure project success. Build effective relationships across diverse backgrounds and disciplines. Maintain contact with senior stakeholders, including CIO and SLT Directors. Hold authority for actions within programmes/projects, ensuring timely engagement with service design and readiness. Set and manage high-value budgets, delivering quality reporting documentation. Understand business principles and sectors, demonstrating project management and leadership skills. Manage relationships with strategic suppliers and stakeholders to facilitate successful delivery. What you need to show us The successful Senior IT Programme Delivery Manager will have strong experience of delivering multi-million £ programmes across Finance and Supply Chain and preferably experience of mergers and acquisition programmes. A key skill to this role is having a pragmatic, proactive and flexible approach to problem solving within a constructive and effective manner. You will have excellent time management skills, and a methodical approach, with the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced changing environment. In addition, you will need to demonstrate the below skills/experience: Recognised certifications in Programme and Project Management Proven experience in Programme and Project Management Expertise in Stakeholder Management Budget management experience for amounts up to £20 million Strong team and people management skills Proficient in performance management Ability to influence and inspire others Capacity to take on the role of Delegate Department Leader when needed Familiarity with the logistics sector would be highly desirable Recent programme experience in implementing finance and supply chain systems Knowledge of ITIL principles Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities Proven track record of delivering high-impact programmes/projects on time Willingness to support out-of-hours changes as required Flexibility to travel occasionally to other Yodel sites or supplier locations Why work with us If you are a self-motivated Senior IT Programme Delivery Manager looking to join an award-winning IT department, then click to apply.
